ICA Update on Coronavirus

We are actively monitoring the developments related to the Coronavirus and are following local government guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, members and employees. As such, our face-to-face training will be moved to virtual delivery until the end of June 2020 at which point we will review the situation again.
Thousands of students all over the world have already enjoyed studying via our virtual programmes so if you are currently enrolled onto a face-to-face option, you will still receive the same engaging learning experience but will be able to study remotely.
How will my online learning experience differ from face-to-face learning?
All ICA course materials are already delivered online however, your face-to-face workshops will usually be replaced by interactive virtual classrooms hosted by the same experienced trainers who lead our workshops. This flexible option means that you can still actively participate in group discussions and exercises and benefit from peer-to-peer learning but from the comfort of your office or home. You will receive the same level of tutor support in relation to your assessments and you can contact your tutor online at any point throughout the course for guidance. If you are unable to attend the live virtual classroom for any reason, you will receive a recording of the session to watch at a time convenient to you.
How can a full-day workshop be replaced by a interactive virtual classroom?
The ICA have been successfully delivering virtual classrooms for the last four years to our distance learning students who follow exactly the same syllabus and take exactly the same assessments. In that time we have continued to evolve the format to ensure that we can deliver an engaging and interactive learning experience but in a more focused way. Much of the time in a face-to-face workshop is taken up by the mechanics of running group exercises and presentation (as well as lunch and breaks) and, in a virtual environment we are able to condense the learning experience whilst maintaining the knowledge-delivery, interactivity and the attention of all participants. The workshop sequence remains the same and you will still receive the slides used. As well as participating in group exercises, you can still ask the trainer questions throughout and continue to receive ongoing support after the virtual classroom has taken place.
I don’t want to miss out on future workshops if the situation changes?
We will keep your place open on future face-to-face workshops beyond June 2020 if you wish and will be in touch nearer the time should the situation change.
I am concerned I may not be able to submit my assignment on time?
We are still working on the dates for submission and results that are currently published. However, we are aware that the current situation may impact on your ability to complete the work on time. To help with this we can provide additional time for you to complete your next assignment and can extend the deadline for submission by 2 weeks.
