  • ENDRIC DELEVEAUX - PRESIDENT

    He is a Founding Executive of the Bahamas Association of Compliance Officers (BACO) and also a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP). Mr. Deleveaux is a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), and is registered with the Securities Commission of The Bahamas and the Bahamas Financial Intelligence Unit as a Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (FIU) and currently provides contracted services to a Regulated Institution in Nassau, Bahamas. Since October 2011, he founded and Currently is the Managing Director of Summit Corporate Services Limited.

  • MARIA DORSETT - EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT

    Maria is the Head of AML Compliance at EFG Bank & Trust (Bahamas) Ltd. She had worked in the financial services industry for 14 years with 12 years in the compliance field. She is a Fellow of the International Compliance Association, a member of The Association of Financial Crime Specialists and a Certified AML Professional with the Florida International Bankers Association. She has served on the Executive Committee of BACO for over 4 consecutive terms from 2014 and continues to be committed to serving the organization and the Financial Services industry in The Bahamas.

  • MARCIA MEERES - SECRETARY

    Marcia Meeres is an Anti-Money Laundering and Regulatory Compliance professional with over fifteen(15) years of experience in the financial service industry and regulatory sector in The Bahamas. She has specialized training in AML/CTF/CPF, Regulatory Compliance, Fraud Prevention, Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Securities and Investments. Marcia is currently employed with Acetop Global Markets Limited as their Chief Compliance Officer and MLRO. Prior to joining Acetop, she was previously employed with the Securities Commission of The Bahamas, where she held various positions in the Supervision Department overseeing the compliance function across multiple financial sectors including securities, investment funds and financial and corporate services.

    Marcia holds a BA in Management from Nova Southeastern University. She is a Certified Financial Crimes Specialist (CFCS), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a Certified International Risk Manager (CIRM). She is also a member of The Bahamas Association of Compliance Officers (BACO).

    Outside her professional life, Marcia enjoys reading, swimming, fine dining and spending time with her family.

  • Robyn Newton

    ROBYN NEWTON QUANT - PR CHAIRPERSON

    Robyn Newton is the Sr. AVP of Compliance and MLRO at Equity Bank Bahamas Limited. She is an AML and GRC professional with a strong regulatory background having being previously employed at the Securities Commission of The Bahamas. This, along with her past experience at a multinational financial services provider, has allowed her to garner almost a decade of industry experience.

    Robyn holds a BBA in Banking and Finance (Private Banking and Trust) and an International Executive MBA. She is both ICA and ACAMS certified. She has also obtained a variety of certifications including the Series 7, Certified AML FinTech Compliance Associate (CAFCA), and most recently the Certified Cryptocurrency Expert (CCE).   • Roy-Ann Ford

    ROY-ANN FORD - ASSISTANT TREASURER

    Roy-Ann Ford is the Assistant Vice President, Risk & Compliance at BAF Financial & Insurance (Bahamas) Ltd. a member of the BAF Global Group. Her financial services career spans over two decades, with over a decade as a Compliance Professional for a regional group including long term insurance, investments, brokers and agents and money transfer lines of business.

    Roy-Ann is a graduate of St. Andrews, she holds a BSc. in Business from Nova Southeastern. She attained the LOMA FLMI, ALMI, AIRC and ACS designations. Roy-Ann is a qualified IFA. In 2014 she attained the ICA Diplomas in AML and Compliance, and in 2018 she attained the CBP diploma and the Trustee diploma. Roy-Ann is a member of the Rotary Club of Nassau, a leader at Bahamas Harvest Church, and she has been a member of BACO since 2013. She is married to her high school sweetheart Sean; they have three children Sean, and twins Seth and Savannah.

    Phillisa is the Assistant Compliance Officer at CBH Bahamas Ltd.

    She holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance, Member of the International Compliance Association and Certified International Risk Manager.

    She has served the Financial Services Industry for the past 10+ years with over 8 years’ experience in the Compliance, Regulatory and Risk field.

    Phillisa is a professional committed to service and growth of the Financial Services Industry in The Bahamas.

  • ASHLEY BUTLER (Education Chairperson)

    ASHLEY BUTLER - EDUCATION CHAIRPERSON

    Ashley Butler has been employed in the Financial Services Sector for over ten years. She is currently the Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer at RF Bank & Trust. Ashley currently holds International Diplomas in Anti Money Laundering and Compliance and is a Certified International Risk Manager (CIRM). She obtained her Bachelor’s in International Business at the College of Saint Benedict’s and her Master’s in Banking Law and Finance at the University of Liverpool. She is passionate about continuous growth and enabling others to succeed. Ashley is married to Nathaniel Butler, and they have one son Andres Butler. In her spare time Ashley enjoys travelling and cooking.

    RAYNETH DARLING - ASSISTANT SECRETARY

    Rayneth is employed with FML Group of Companies Ltd. as the Chief Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer. She has extensive Compliance, Risk, Fraud & Anti-Money Laundering experiences that spans over seventeen (17) years in the areas of Retail Banking, Investment Banking, Brokerage and Gaming.

    She holds undergraduate degrees in Banking, Finance & Accounting along with obtaining her ICA Diplomas in Anti-Money Laundering & Compliance and is also a Certified Business Professional in Project Management.

  • SHELLY COOKE (Vice President)

    SHELLY COOKE - VICE PRESIDENT

    Shelly Cooke - an accomplished, versatile Senior Compliance professional and Senior Manager with more than 20+ years extensive, legal, compliance and corporate management experience. She has strong management, and administrative skills providing the management of AML and Compliance staff, coordinating multiple tasks and activities and building a dynamic team for Compliance and AML oversight in The Bahamas.

    A trained attorney -at-law, Shelly is currently the Compliance Head and MLRO at Deltec Bank and Trust Limited, and formerly the Chief Country Compliance Officer and MLRO for Cititrust (Bahamas) Limited.

    She is ICA and ACAMs certified. She possesses an (LL.B), an MBA, and Diploma Executive Management, from Columbia University Business School. She is currently enrolled in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is a Director of the Bahamas Chapter of ACAMS.

    Shelly is also a member of the Bahamas Bar Association, and as a BACO member has served as Secretary, Treasurer, Membership, Education, PR Chairperson & an Executive Committee Member .

  • McQUESSA DAWKINS (Membership Chairperson)

    McQUESSA DAWKINS - MEMBERSHIP CHAIRPERSON

    McQuessa Dawkins holds an LLB (Honors) and a Bachelor of International Business (Honors) degree. She continues to explore her passion for international business and compliance through her extraordinary commitment to learning and exemplary service. She is a Corporate and Compliance Specialist with over 15 years of vast knowledge and combined experience in international business, compliance and corporate management. McQuessa is currently the Compliance Officer (CO) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer at Delaney Corp (Bahamas) Ltd., a financial and corporate service provider and CO at Delaney Partners Commercial Lawyers; a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, International Compliance Association, Bahamas Association of Compliance Officers, and currently holds Diplomas in Corporate Management, Anti-Money Laundering and Governance and Risk and Compliance. She has a strong legal background, proven management, leadership and administrative skills and has whole- heartedly served on BACO’s Executive Committee as Administration Chairperson from 2020-2022.

  • KRYSTINA CAMPBELL SMITH (Administration Chairperson)

    KRYSTINA CAMPBELL SMITH - ADMINISTRATION CHAIRPERSON

    Krystina began her career in the Financial Services Industry over 7 years ago as an Operations and Administrative professional. She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Organizational Learning and Leadership and is CAMS certified. Her experience is in Compliance, Risk and AML in the private banking and asset management field.

    She also holds certifications in Digital Assets, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies. She is currently the Senior Compliance Manager at OKX Bahamas.
